Core and Intermediate Psychodrama Training Brisbane 2018

Psychodrama training calls for expression of our inner self through our body and mind. We create norms in the training group that enable us to quiet cold winds of the past, and to free ourselves up to be uniquely purposeful, with a deepened sense of who we are and what we are becoming, expressed with practical application in life itself.

Trainees are asked to make a commitment to one another to attend each session and to engage with one another’s development. Training endeavours to provide the setting to learn the whole psychodrama methodology through experience. Reading, writing, reflecting and discussing the principles and application of this method begin on day-one of training and continue through to certification as a practitioner. Certification can be gained after four or more years of training, writing, and a practical assessment.

This year we are including a three-day weekend training at the beginning of Term 2 in May in Group Work, where the emphasis is on establishing and maintaining cohesion and trust in a group and to develop a climate conducive to new learning. This workshop is open to all AANZPA trainees.  See more below

Trainees create opportunities to practice this methodology in their work. It is through the application of the method that abilities are developed and refined. Creating a peer group further assists refinement and expansion of psychodrama abilities. Supervision in the application is a key element of development.

Term 4 is attendance at a five-day non-residential training workshop that enables working with the aspirations and deepest concerns of society. This workshop is open to all AANZPA trainees.
