This training workshop will review and define sociometry. In particular we will explore the importance of attending to sociometry in group work. Moreno suggests, “The individuals themselves and the interrelations between them must be treated as the nuclear structure of every social situation.” (Moreno 1993 Who Shall Survive: 22-24) This involves promotion of companionship, repair and revitalization of interpersonal and inter-group relationships. The second aspect will explore the many ways that interpersonal relationships can be measured, choice and criteria.
