Dan Gilbert presents research and data from his exploration of happiness -- sharing some surprising tests and experiments that you can also try on yourself. Watch through to the end for a sparkling Q&A with some familiar TED faces. Dan Gilbert is full of pithy and neat anecdotes and research pieces that show what strange and fickle creatures we really are. However, from a psychodramatic perspective, much of what he propounds and presents may be better understood as discussions about context, and elements in the context that radically change our warm-up. He spends way to much time in my opinion in discussion ‘what a person does (compares stuff)’ or ‘what a person thinks’ rather than the warm-up they have in response to their context. Please let me know if you think I am off the planet with this simple idea.
